Our story
Why we're building Cedar, Stone & Clay
Remember the smell of Play-Doh? The first gold star for coloring inside the lines, and the one you got for coloring way outside them and making something brand new? Blocks, finger paint, Elmer's glue, a stack of old magazines and a pair of safety scissors. We all started out as makers.
Then life took over. Bills, jobs, kids, deadlines. Not enough time, not enough money, or never the right balance of both. The art class stayed on the someday list. The pencil stayed in the drawer.
Art therapists work in hospitals and mental health programs across the country because making things helps people heal. We don't think you should have to wait until you're worn down to pick it back up.
So we built a place to get away. Not off the grid, since you can still check in on the kids. But here the meals are handled, your bed for the night is figured out, and Friday's report can wait. What's left is the woods, the quiet, a table full of supplies, and permission to be a kid again.
Come make something. The Little Artist inside you is dying to get out.
